Clumping to Colchicine

 

Clumping: The aggregation of particles into irregular masses. Clysis: (1) Washing out of a body cavity. (2) The administration other than by the oral route.

Clysterize : To treat with enema. CoA : Coenzyme A.
Coacervate formation: Separation of a layer rich in colloidal material by mixing oppositively charged hydrophilic colloids.

Coca: Leaf of the coca plant of the genus Erythroxylon ; used as a central nervous stimulant and as a euphoriant masticatory .
Cocaine: Methyl ester of benzyl ecgonine and its salt obtained from coca leaves, i.e. Erythroxylum coca and E. truxillense ; used as a narcotic anaesthetic.

Codeine: An active narcotic alkaloid of opium and is used in cough syrups, as analgesic and antitussive.
Codeine phosphate: The phosphate salt of codeine, used as a narcotic, analgesic and antitussive.
Codex: An authorised medicinal formulary. .
Codeine: o-Methylmorphine obtained from opium, used as an analgesic and antitussive.
Cod-liver oil : An oil obtained from the liver of cod fish; used as a source of vitamins A and D, and to promote wound healing.
Codon: The triplet of bases on mRNA.
Coefficient: (1) A numerical factor multiplying a term in an algebraic equation. (2) A number preceding a formula in a chemical equation. (3) A dimensionless constant characterizing a chemical or physical process.

amount of potential energy consumed by the body when at rest.

partition coefficient: The ratio at equilibrium of the concentration of a substance in one phase to its concentrati~n in another phase.

- Linear absorption coefficient: In radiation physics, the fraction of a beam of roentgen rays or gamma
rays that is absorbed per unit thickness of the absorber.
- Oxygen utilization coefficient: The quotient obtained by dividing the figure for the volumes of.
oxygen in 100 ml of venous blood.
- Phenol coefficient: A measure of the bacteriocidal activity of a chemical compound in relation to phenol.
