Baldness
#Hair washed with the paste of fenugreek seeds prevents baldness.
#Neem oil applied regularly on the bald patch on the scalp will promote hair growth.
#Make a paste of three baby onions, three peppercorns and half a teaspoon of salt. Apply on the affected area.
Combs/Hairbrushes
#Used toothbrushes can be used with soap and water to clean combs.
#To remove the dust from a comb quickly, sprinkle a little soap powder and water on it. Hold the comb and scrub it with an old toothbrush.
#Combs can be cleaned by dipping them for a while in a solution of washing soda and warm water.
#If you are attending a party, and have not had time to wash your hair, dip your comb in a glass of beer and comb well.
#Never use a brush on a wet hair as it will only tear it. Instead, use a wide-toothed comb.
Dandruff
#Massage your scalp with warm coconut or castor oil twice a week. Leave it overnight and shampoo the following morning.
#Wash hair with the paste of fenugreek seeds.
#To remove dandruff, soak equal quantities of fenugreek and cumin seeds overnight. Grind to a paste with milk and massage on the scalp well, then wash well.
#If you cook rice directly and drain the water, use that water for treating dandruff. Wash off with green gram powder, and then clear water.
#Apply lemon juice with the rind well on the scalp. After five minutes wash off with shampoo and watet.
#Mix one tablespoon pure vinegar in half a bucket of water. Shampoo and wash well. Rinse finally with the vinegar solution.
#Massage sour curds on the scalp. Leave it for half an hour, then shampoo it.
#Mix a tablespoon of lemon juice with two tablespoons of coconut oil. Massage it into the scalp. Leave it for more than an hour, then wash with warm water.
#Powder 15 peppercorns and mix it with cow's milk into a paste. Apply on the scalp twice weekly, keeping it on for 10 minutes each time before washing your hair.
#Take equal quantities of jaggery and tamarind. Grind into a paste. Apply on scalp and wash it off after 10 minutes.

Hair Drying
Never blow dry hair when rhey are wer, for inrense hear only promores broken ends. Insread, rowel dryas much as possible.
Hair, greying
#Regular massage of gooseberries (amla grounded inco a pasre) on rhe scalp does wonders in reversing rhe process of greying.
#To prevenr early greying of hair, add a rablespoon of salrro a cup of srrong tea. When cold, srrain, and apply it to the roots. Leave for an hour, then wash ir off. Don't shampoo.
#To check greying of hair, mix lemon juice in casror oil. Beat till frothy. Add mehendi powder. Apply on scalp, and wash off after an hour.
#Soak 12 rirhas and 4 shikakai pods in water overnight. In the morning, boil and strain. Use as a normal shampoo. Soak 12 amlas in a cup overnight. Strain and use as a conditioner. Leave it on for 10 minutes, then rinse hair. This scops prematUre greying of hair.
#Heat coconut oil. Add three flakes of garlic and three peppercorns. Cool and apply on scalp.
#Mix starch from cooked rice wirh a lirde gramflour, and apply to the scalp. Wash after a few minutes.
#Massage your scalp with a few tablespoons of mayonnaise, and rinse with water. This keeps your hair lustrous and prevents greying.
#Mix two yolks, two tablespoons of olive oil, and two tablespoons of rum. Apply ro the hair and scalp, and leave for an hour. Rinse off.
#Hear 250 gms casror oil and 50 gms olive oil. When warm, add 50 gms sandalwood powder, 50 gms amla powder and 50 gms coffee powder. Keep stirring rill rhe oil separaresfrom the residue. Massage this oil into the scalp, and leave it overnight.
#PrematUre greying of hair can be postponed by using a strong decoction of black tea and a tablespoon of salt. Strain and apply ro roots for 45 minutes. Wash with water. Don't shampoo.
#Make a paste with ground curry leaves and sour buttermilk. Use this once a week.
Hair, brittle
For brittle hair, combine one cup curd, oflemon two teaspoons of henna, a teaspoon of lemon juice, and twO teaspoons of oil. Massage into the scalp and leave for half an hour. Wash off with regular shampoo.
Hair, Oily
Do not brush greasy hair. Instead comb it. Brushing encourages the glands to secrete more oil.
Hair, thin
#For thin hair, perming makes your hair look bulky.
#Garlic, crushed and massaged into the scalp, increase blood circulation, and prevents thinning of hair.
Hair oils
#Clip off the tips of green grass, and soak them in coconut oil. Warm the oil in the sun. Massaging the oil into the scalp improves hair condition.
#Soak hibiscus flowers in coconut oil, and keep them inthe sun. Use the oil regularly to massage the scalp.
#Heat a cup of coconut oil with eight crushed peppercorns and 15 basil leaves. Use this every day.
#For an itchy scalp, heat coconut oil with a few crushed peppercorns, a good pinch of cuminseeds, and a red chilli till it smokes. When slightly cool, apply on the scalp and rinse after 10 minutes.
