Indigo to Insidious

Indigo: A blue dyeing material from the plant Indigofera tinetoria ; a double indole derivative synthesized frQm aniIine and chloroacetic acid.
Indole: A heterocyclic compound, M.W. 117.14, obtained from coal tar, with unpleasant odour ; used as a chemical reagent and in perfumery.
Indolent: Causing little pain.
Indomethacin: A non-steroidal anti-inflammatroy agent, used to treat arthritis, as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic agent.
Induction: (1) The act of inducing or causing to occur. (2) The appearance of an electric current in a body due to presence of another electric current.
Induration: The process of hardening or firm, e.g., tissue hardening.
Inert: Having no action; not reacting with other elements.
Infant: A young child under the age of two.
Infantilism: A condition in which the characters of childhood persists into adult life.
Infarct: An area of coagulation necrosis in a tissue due to local ischemia when artery is suddenly
blocked.
Infarction: The formation of an infarct.

Infection : Invasion and multiplication of microorganisms in body tissue.

characters from parents to offsprings. Inhibition: Arrest or restraint of a process effected by nervous influence.
Inhibitor: Any substance that interferes with a chemical reaction. Initiator: An agent used to start the polymerization of a monomer.
Injection: (1) The act of forcing a liquid into a part. (2) A substance that causes microorganisms to grow at a slower rate than normal.
Inoculate: To cominunicate a disease by inserting its etiologic agent.
